Prize Competition Rules

How TopPot pots are run and how prizes are awarded

1. A game of skill

TopPot pots are prize competitions that depend on skill. Entrants compete using their Fantasy Premier League team, and results are determined by the official FPL points their squad scores over the relevant period. Success rewards knowledge, judgement, and ongoing team management, not chance.

2. Who can enter

  • You must be aged 18 or over.
  • You must have a valid, active Fantasy Premier League account.
  • You must be allowed to take part under the laws that apply where you live.

3. Entering a pot

Each pot has an entry fee set by its creator and paid in USDC. The total prize pot is the sum of all entry fees. There is no platform fee, so the full pool flows to the winners. Some pots are free to enter.

4. Free entry route (no purchase necessary)

You do not have to pay to take part in a paid pot. You can request a free entry instead, and free entries have exactly the same chance of winning as paid entries.

  • When the in-app free entry form is open, request a free entry from the pot you want to join.
  • You can also enter free by post. Write to us with your full name, postal address, the pot you wish to enter, and your FPL team ID at freeentry@toppot.io.
  • One free entry request per person, per pot.
  • Free entry requests must reach us before the pot fills or closes. We keep a record of all free entry requests.

5. How winners are decided

Winners are determined solely by official FPL standings within the pot at settlement. Unless a pot states otherwise, prizes are split roughly 60% to 1st place, 25% to 2nd, and 15% to 3rd. Settlement runs from official FPL data once the relevant period ends. We do not manually decide or influence results.

6. Paying out prizes

For pots backed by a smart contract, winnings are distributed automatically onchain to the winners. You are responsible for keeping access to your wallet. Prizes have no cash alternative beyond the USDC awarded.

7. Fair play

  • Do not collude with other entrants or attempt to fix results.
  • Do not enter using more than one FPL account to gain an unfair advantage.
  • We may void an entry that breaches these rules.
